The Nashville Club of Frontiers International, Incorporated is so excited to be hosting the 9th Annual Golf Classic named after our former Club President, the late Dr. Lloyd C. Elam. When the Golf Classic began, our beloved Yokefellow Elam was still among us and occasionally played in the Classic. Now his lovely widow, Mrs. Clara Elam continues to support us in keeping the duffer spirit alive at the Classic.
I want to thank all of you that have participated in the past and look forward for your continued support in the future. Last year as a result of your participation in the Golf Classic, the Nashville Club made financial contributions to the Frontiers International Foundation, Incorporated so they could in turn make a contribution to the Vitiligo Research Foundation, The Sickle Cell Research Foundation and the Heart Association.
In addition we were able to sponsor a team in the Synergy Soccer league, supporting young players ranging from ages 4 to 12 years old; many of whom are from families facing economic struggles and hardships. We were able to donate several items of clothing to the “Fruits of Her Labor” charity event for people to have winter clothing for the 2012 winter season. Your participation also helped us with funding activities for our Junior Frontiers to help them learn about the constitution of the United States and the Rule of Law through the “We the People” federal project.
Again thank you for past and future participation. We hope you have as much fun playing in the Classic as we have putting it on in the memory of a great man and leader, Dr. Lloyd C. Elam.
